A pair of enterprising ladies who downshifted from high-flying corporate careers to raise gorgeous happy pigs on the hills above Todmorden.

“We make bacon, black pudding, air-dried ham and the mighty Buster’s Revenge sausage for Bowland Brewery. As well as using Buster IPA beer in our secret recipe, the pigs get the spin-off benefit of luxuriating in Bowland beer mash for their after dinner treat. As well as making the most of an otherwise throw-away by-product of the brewing process, this helps develop the exquisite flavour and texture of our award-winning produce.

“Just now and again, when we can spare some – Callum and Joe, the Butcher Brothers on the meat counter, will be stocking some rare breed pork from one of our full British rare breeds: Tamworth, Old Spot, Saddleback, Iron Age and British Mangalitza.
