We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to lead The Spinning Block Hotel in Clitheroe.

About the Job

As General Manager you will be responsible for running the hotel, leading, managing and developing the staff team and ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service.  You’ll be responsible for meeting challenging targets and ensuring you have the best team to achieve them.  As the newest of our dream wedding venues you’ll work hard to create and maintain our reputation as an astounding wedding venue and the venue of choice in Clitheroe.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is an experienced Hotel General Manager, preferably with experience of managing weddings and functions as well as:

• Strong people management– Managing, leading and developing an effective team, providing regular feedback and training opportunities, and ensuring effective performance management of the team.
• Effective communication – the ability to communicate at all levels, maintaining regular communication within the team and seeking feedback.
• Financial Management – comfortable forecasting, managing and evaluating budgets, revenue and costs.
• Effective Marketing – promoting the business in the local area, creating opportunities to drive sales and looking for opportunities for positive publicity.
• Customer Experience – A strong customer service focus with the motivation to consistently drive high service levels. Creating an environment that delights customers, actively seeking customer feedback and making appropriate changes, dealing effectively with any customer complaints and monitoring to identify and remedy any trends.
• Personal – Results driven, motivated, able to work autonomously, high level of integrity, committed.

Salary – Dependent on experience

Hours – Full Time between Monday to Sunday
